THOUGHTFUL TOUCHES

Dear family and friends,

While we wait a week or so to decorate our tree we can fill our home with simple ornaments-such as glittering silver balls, plenty of candles, and good holiday smells. I like to bring touches of nature into my home and candles in my favorite holiday scents.

As I slowly remodel and decorate my home room by room, I remind myself to think of thoughtful touches that make a home cozy and comfortable. When decorating the bedrooms I think of reading lights, nightlights, alarm clocks, cozy pillows and blankets, and thoughtful touches that promote a good night's sleep.

Another thoughtful touch is to keep a blank journal and pen on a bedside table so that you or your guests can journal their thoughts.

Decorating with words that have significant meaning such as wish, peace, believe, love, and joy will be a delightful reminder of God's promises. Think about the wonderful prayer promise below and prepare your heart and home for this holiday season of joy. Christmas is in the air even more with the beautiful and meaningful words of the joyful season of light!

If you abide in Me, and My
words abide in you, ask
whatever you wish, and it
shall be done for you.
John 15:7

Happy Weekend Brook!!
Your photos are so lovely! I think I should light a candle and enjoy the day that the Lord has made.
Can't wait to see the new decor.
Warmly,
Deb :)

I love the fraser pine scent at Christmas! What's your favorite scent?

Hi Deb. For the kitchen I like cinnamon and apple and vanilla in the dining area. For the bedrooms I like mint.
Blessings,

Hi Brook,
I can't wait to see everything you do in your home. I just know it's going to be beautiful and serene. I love filling glassware with vintage ornaments and lots of fresh greenery. We are even going to get a real tree this year.
